Care guides

Prolong your cushions life through caring for your cushion inserts by
plumping, tapping and teasing them. To ensure your feather, fibre and foam
cushion inserts endure and will last for years to come please read our
following care tips below.

Feather Cushions

Maintenance
Plump daily to maintain the appearance and ensure even distribution of filling –
Vigorously pat all sides to separate the filling and infuse air back into the
cushion. Rotate cushions regularly to ensure even wear.

Cleaning
Spot Cleaning – Treat spills and stains as soon as
possible to prevent the possibility of permanent staining. Gently scrape any
soiling or mop any liquid from the surface of the cushion. Apply propriety
cleaning agents according to product instructions to remove the residue. Do
not saturate the interior with water or any cleaning liquid. Allow to
thoroughly dry before inserting into cushion cover and re-use. Annual
professional dry cleaning recommended.

Fibre and Wool Cushions

Maintenance
Plump regularly to maintain the appearance and
ensure even distribution of filling – Pull apart and separate the filling to
eliminate clumping of the filling and infuse air back into the cushion. Rotate
cushions regularly to ensure even wear.

Foam Cushions

Indoor Cushions Covers

Maintenance
Vacuum weekly using low suction. Rotate
reversible cushions regularly to ensure even wear. Protect from direct
sunlight unless the fabric has been treated with UV resistance protection.
Prevent sharp objects (buckles, pet claws) from coming into contact with your
cushion as this may cause snagging or tearing of the fabric.

Cleaning
Spot Cleaning – Treat spills and stains as soon as
possible to prevent the possibility of permanent staining. Gently scrape any
soiling or mop any liquid from the surface of the fabric. Do not scrub the
surface of the fabric. Depending on fabric type, apply wet or dry propriety
cleaning agents according to product instructions to remove the residue. Do
not saturate the fabric with water or any cleaning liquid. Do not wet the
filling. Dry away from direct heat. Allow to thoroughly dry before re-use. For
persistent marks seek professional advice. Do not remove covers for separate
cleaning or washing as with all upholstered furnishings, professional cleaning
is recommended.

Pilling
Pilling can occur as a result of normal daily wear
and should not be considered as a fault. Fibre pills can be removed with a
pilling tool.

Shading
Orientation of pile fibres will be disrupted when sat
upon, resulting in an apparently different shade on contact areas. This
disruption of the pile fibres and consequent apparent colour change are
inherent characteristics and should not be considered as defects.

Dye Transfer
Certain clothing and accessory dyes (denim jeans) may migrate to lighter
colour fabrics. This can be increased by humidity and temperature and can
cause irreversible staining.

Outdoor Cushion Covers

Maintenance
Vacuum weekly using low suction. Rotate
reversible cushions regularly to ensure even wear. Cushions should not be left
outdoors permanently and it is recommended that cushions are stored undercover
or indoors when not in use. Cushions should be dried thoroughly if they become
saturated. Prevent sharp objects (buckles, pet claws) from coming into contact
with your cushion as this may cause snagging or tearing of the fabric.

Cleaning
