Design Story

During the research for her master’s thesis, HANforum founder, Hyegi dealt in detail with Korea’s brand image and brand awareness in Germany. And found: many Germans and Europeans hardly know anything about her home country! Though Korean cosmetics, music, and movies are growing in popularity. Home accessories from Korea are rarely found in Germany. She wanted to change that and founded HANforum four years ago. Since then, they have dedicated themselves to the mission to bring joy with unique designs from Korea.

What makes Korean design unique?

The wide range! From everyday objects to traditional costumes and architecture, the Korean design world looks back on thousands of years old traditions. Culturally shaped design paired with sustainable materials and traditional manufacturing methods is often reinterpreted today. Talented designers create a new style from sugar-sweet to modern minimalism or even maximalism with this approach.
