Design Story
For Nirali Guzman, the move from her career as a brand & marketing strategist to the founder of the ethically sourced home goods company, Casa Amarosa, was not a stretch at all. She was born into it. She grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Mumbai, India. Growing up in India, surrounded by gorgeous textiles and colours while also witnessing the reality of marginalized communities around her, had an effect on her earliest business decisions. “It makes you realize what kind of impact you can actually have when you purchase a product,” she says.
Casa Amarosa collaborates with family-run businesses, small enterprises, urban entrepreneurs, and women artisans to bring their work to the rest of the world. They are committed to their suppliers and personally visit their vendors to ensure support for values of ethical production and sourcing.
Casa Amarosa products are developed in small batches and handcrafted using traditional techniques. Their in-house designers & merchandisers work tirelessly to develop sustainable, globally inspired, and expertly designed goods for the home, handmade by artisans around India.
Casa Amarosa values transparency, ethical production, healthy workspaces and are committed to using sustainable materials. All products at Casa Amarosa are developed & designed by keeping in mind this socially conscious business model. Their team regularly visits the partners to make sure their values are aligned.
