Storage Box is spacious with a capacity of 47L. It is a component based design that arrives flat packed and can be assembled and disassembled should the need arise. The two square metal frames are what lock the box together whilst also serving as handles to carry. Have as a single piece or stack multiple together. Lay them  flat or standing up. We recommend to stack maximum three boxes.

Design Story

Moebe was formed in 2014 by architects Martin de Neergaard Christensen, Nicholas Oldroyd and cabinet maker Anders Thams. They design everything in-house and bring our designs from ideas to the final product. Moebe products are designed with modularity in mind, they are component-based and can be assembled, repaired and recycled with ease. We strive to reduce our designs to their most simple forms.

Our products are:

1. Easy to repair
Our products are created so that they can be repaired easily. So should a part break, then only the piece that is broken needs to be replaced rather than the product as a whole.

2. Easy to recycle
Whilst our products are designed to last, it’s important to accept that needs can change. Much of the furniture built in the early part of the 1900s can still be found today, but why don’t we keep it? Quality is often great. The thing is that how we use our furniture and what we find beautiful is not the same now as it was then. So whilst our products can be repaired and maintained indefinitely they can also be easily stripped to their individual parts and recycled.

3. Packaged responsibly
We treat the design of our packaging as important as our products. Our packaging is cardboard-based, with no lamination. It protects our products through the rigours of shipping, and once its job is complete can easily be recycled.

4. Optimised for transport
Our products all consist of separable parts, ensuring that they can be packaged in their most reduced form, thereby, cutting down transport volume to an absolute minimum.

5. Produced with care
We like keeping our producers close. That’s why more than 40% of our production is based here in Denmark. It’s also why 95% of our total production takes place within the EU. Keeping our producers local helps us to minimise our transport from production to our primary sales market. Europe. Which just makes sense. But it’s about much more than that. It’s about how we produce. We care about how the workers who produce our designs are treated. All humans have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. And we care about how we affect the environment around us.
Placing the vast part of our production in Europe supports these beliefs. We always hold our suppliers up to our stringent standards, and producing in the EU means that there is furthermore a strong legal framework supporting us when making sure that people and the environment are treated right.
