    Dimensions: - 60 × 60 cm

Ingredients / Materials: - Cotton warp and nettle fibre weft

The fabric of this floor cushion has been woven with a unique fibre from Nagaland, North East India. Wild indigenous nettles are collected and stripped, beaten and softened before making yarn to weave with. It is woven on a backstrap loom with a cotton warp. The result is a strong and durable fabric with a fascinating texture. Due to it's size, this cushion is sold and shipped out without the cushion pad.

  • Care Instruction

Prolong your cushions life through caring for your cushion inserts by plumping, tapping and teasing them. To ensure your feather, fibre and foam cushion inserts endure and will last for years to come please read our following care tips below.

    Washable at 30°

    Indoor Cushions Covers
    Maintenance
Vacuum weekly using low suction. Rotate reversible cushions regularly to ensure even wear. Protect from direct sunlight unless the fabric has been treated with UV resistance protection.
Prevent sharp objects (buckles, pet claws) from coming into contact with your cushion as this may cause snagging or tearing of the fabric.

    Cleaning
Spot Cleaning – Treat spills and stains as soon as possible to prevent the possibility of permanent staining. Gently scrape any soiling or mop any liquid from the surface of the fabric. Do not scrub the surface of the fabric. Depending on fabric type, apply wet or dry propriety cleaning agents according to product instructions to remove the residue. Do not saturate the fabric with water or any cleaning liquid. Do not wet the filling. Dry away from direct heat. Allow to thoroughly dry before re-use. For persistent marks seek professional advice. Do not remove covers for separate cleaning or washing as with all upholstered furnishings, professional cleaning is recommended.

    Pilling
Pilling can occur as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered as a fault. Fibre pills can be removed with a pilling tool.

    Shading
Orientation of pile fibres will be disrupted when sat upon, resulting in an apparently different shade on contact areas. This disruption of the pile fibres and consequent apparent colour change are inherent characteristics and should not be considered as defects.

    Dye Transfer
Certain clothing and accessory dyes (denim jeans) may migrate to lighter colour fabrics. This can be increased by humidity and temperature and can cause irreversible staining.

    Outdoor Cushion Covers
    Maintenance
Vacuum weekly using low suction. Rotate reversible cushions regularly to ensure even wear. Cushions should not be left outdoors permanently and it is recommended that cushions are stored undercover or indoors when not in use. Cushions should be dried thoroughly if they become saturated. Prevent sharp objects (buckles, pet claws) from coming into contact with your cushion as this may cause snagging or tearing of the fabric.

    Design Story

Annaloom was founded by Anna-Louise Meynell in 2013, offering beautifully handcrafted textiles with original designs from ethical and sustainable sources.

Each piece is woven with natural materials, using traditional techniques and by inspiring artisans dedicated to maintaining exquisite quality in their craft.

The ethos of Annaloom is to support traditional hand weavers through the collaborative development of contemporary yet timeless textiles.

After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 2001, Anna-Louise spent 7 years working for a high-end silk mill in India designing jacquard furnishing fabrics for clients across the globe. Over this period she met many talented artisans and built up her network of craftspeople. Her passion for the handmade and respect for the skill of traditional artisans is the driving force behind Annaloom.
